Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026

Serein ("the app") is a focus and screen-time app for iPhone, published by Solvoto ("we"). This policy describes what data the app handles and — mostly — what it deliberately does not. The short version: Serein has no accounts, no servers of its own, and no analytics. Your data stays on your device.

What we don't collect

Screen Time & app blocking

Serein uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity) to block the apps you choose. By Apple's design, this is privacy-preserving in a strong technical sense:

What stays on your device

Focus sessions, blocking rules, streaks, statistics, achievements and settings are stored locally on your iPhone (and nowhere else). Deleting the app deletes this data. The app also offers "Reset all data" in its settings.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. To manage entitlements (knowing whether your purchase is active), the app uses RevenueCat as a service provider. RevenueCat receives purchase receipt information and a randomly generated app-scoped identifier — not your name, email, or Apple ID. We do not sell or share this information.

Notifications

All notifications (session completions, break endings, the weekly Rain Check, trial reminders) are local notifications scheduled on your device. There is no push-notification server.

Children

Serein is not directed at children under 13 and uses Screen Time's individual authorization — it is designed for managing your own device, not a child's.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
