Terms of Use
Effective July 12, 2026
License
Serein is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms supplement it; where they conflict, the Standard EULA controls for App Store matters.
What Serein does
Serein helps you block distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time technology. Blocking is enforced by iOS on your device. Features labelled Strict are intentionally difficult to bypass — by enabling them you accept that the app will refuse to lift those blocks early, by design.
Subscriptions
- Some features (Serein Premium) require a paid subscription or one-time purchase, billed through your Apple ID.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
- If a subscription lapses, premium features stop applying; your local data is never deleted for non-payment.
Fair use
Don't attempt to misuse the app to circumvent parental controls or device-management policies you are subject to, and don't reverse engineer the app except where the law permits it regardless of this term.
No guarantees
Serein is a tool for your own commitments. Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time frameworks and on permissions remaining granted; iOS, not Serein, ultimately enforces restrictions. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in the app is medical or psychological advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solvoto is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms.
